Liquid Fertilizer (NPK)

NPK fertilizer is primarily composed of three main elements: Nitrogen (N), Phosphorus (P), and Potassium (K), each of these being essential in plant nutrition. While these three elements only scratch the surface of healthy plant nutrition and growth, they are the main nutrients required in the development of healthy, productive plants.

Among other benefits, Nitrogen (N) helps plants grow quickly, while also increasing the production of seed and fruit, and bettering the quality of leaf and forage crops. Nitrogen is also a component of chlorophyll, the substance that gives plants their green color, and also aids in photosynthesis.

Phosphorus (P), also a key player in the photosynthesis process, plays a vital role in a variety of the things needed by plants. Phosphorus supports the formation of oils, sugars, and starches. The transformation of solar energy into chemical energy is also aided by phosphorus, as well as is development of the plant, and the ability to withstand stress. Additionally, phosphorus encourages the growth of roots, and promotes blooming.

Potassium (K), the third essential nutrient plants demand, assists in photosynthesis, fruit quality, the building of protein, and the reduction of disease.

  • Inorganic – Classical approach to manufacturing fertilizers using inorganic raw materials such as sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, ammonia, potash. phosphate rock, etc.
  • Organic – Utilizes bio-waste to create a granular fertilizer product. Other inorganic raw materials can be added to increase the plant food value as well.
  • Waste-to-Fertilizer – Many industrial processes create process by-products and other materials containing plant food value that can be converted to a granular fertilizer.

Benefits of Liquid Fertilizer

Liquid fertilizers are concentrates or water-soluble powders of synthetic chemicals that contain a mix of nitrogen, phosphorous, potassium and iron. They are easy to apply to lawns and plants. After following the directions to dilute the concentrate or create a liquid solution from powder mix, you can apply liquid fertilizer using spray bottles or sprinkler attachments. The solution acts quickly to make nutrients available to plants. Some liquid fertilizers provide an immediate effect as leaves and roots absorb the mixture.
